If you want to change the floor level or set zones that aren't allowed, you'll have to manually reset the map.
The IQ's app comes with advanced mapping and automation capabilities but it's missing no-go zones, which are available on iRobot models. The smart-pathing navigational system results in greater maneuverability, and its high-pile carpet mode is clean well, but it tends to get caught up on rug tassels. Additionally, its iHome speaker allows you to operate the robot by voice commands.
In our tests, we observed that the IQ handled pet hair with ease. It was able to eliminate a large amount of debris on floors that were not bare and a decent amount of rug with a medium pile. It was a little less efficient on shag carpets, where it struggled to reach dirt and dust buried in the fibers. It did a good job of navigating the legs of chairs, tight spaces, and the wooden base of an IKEA step stool. We did notice it was a bit slower on bare floors, but it regained speed and performed more thoroughly than the other robots we tried.
The IQ is a better choice over the iRobot Roomba 694 for most applications. It has a bigger dust bin, lasts longer on a charge and does a better job of moving itself over obstacles. It comes with a mopping tool that can remove sticky mess. The iRobot is, on the other hand feels better built, has fewer components that need maintenance or replacement and has lower recurring costs, can create virtual no go zones using its companion application. It is able to even resume cleaning from where it left off if it is unable to recharge its battery prior to it has completed the task. The iRobot can also be controlled using voice commands, which is a huge plus for many users.
Eufy 11S
The RoboVac 11S robotic vacuum isn't among the most features-rich models, but it offers excellent cleaning power for a low cost.
